Reiki is a healing energy that comes directly from the highest spiritual source. It is divinely guided and knows where to go and what to do. The Reiki therapist works with the energy, allowing it to flow into areas of the body that are in need. When Reiki is applied, it brings about deep relaxation and a sense of well being. When doing Reiki, the practitioner also receives healing energy, since the energy flows through his or her body.
While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion.

"Forest Sun's music is full of life—real life, that is. It is joyful, but also poignant, upbeat and at the same time deep and soulful. His cd is a must-have, but a live performance is even better. "

"The folksy, soulful approach of this Northern California singer-songwriter has drawn comparisons to the early work of Van Morrison. This Sun seems likely to shine on a path of his own."

Ayurvedic Daily Routines

Within the body, there is a natural basic rhythm but many of us have lost touch with this aspect of ourselves through living by the artificial rhythms created by society and our own desires to overindulge our senses. Ayurveda provides us with a map to our natural basic rhythms. Through this routine, we can begin to bring balance to the doshas and re-create a life of health and happiness.

Monday September 14
7 - 8:30pm
Ayurvedic Fall Cleanse

According to Ayurveda, the entire universe is comprised of five elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether). Each season is governed by one of these elements and our bodies are thus affected by the dominating seasonal element. The ancient science of Ayurveda outlines specific diet recommendations and other therapies for each season to ensure perfect health. Fall and early winter are seasons ruled by Vata - or the air element. This workshop will offer many balancing therapies to help you stay balanced as we transition from fall to winter.

Cathy is a Clinical Ayurvedic & Pancha Karma Specialist, a graduate of the California College of Ayurveda and also the School of Ayurveda and Pancha Karma in Kerala, India. She is the Director of the Ayurveda Programs at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in California and a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
